Kipre Tchetche scoops Vodacom Premier League MVP Award.

Ivorian International striker Kipre Tchetche, who plays for the newly crowned Tanzania Mainland Premier league Champions Azam FC, has been named as the Most Valuable Player (MVP)

Ivorian International striker Kipre Tchetche, who plays for the newly crowned Tanzania Mainland Premier league Champions Azam FC, has been named as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2013-2014 league season.

Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) in collaboration with the league sponsors Vodacom Tanzania named Tchetche the winner of the award ahead two other contestants Mbeya City’s Anthony Matogolo and Tanzania Prisons’ Lugano Mwangama.

Simba SC hit man Amis Tambwe from Burundi scooped the Golden Boot award after scoring 19 goals  in the league.

Tambwe’s close competitors for the award were Tchetche and Elias Maguri from Ruvu Shooting who both had 13 goals followed by Yanga’s Hamis Kiiza and Mrisho Ngasa both with 12 goals.

The league’s best goalkeeper’s award went to Hussein Sharrif of Mtibwa Sugar. Sharrif was picked for the award ahead Mbeya City’s David Burhan and Beno Kakolanya of Tanzania Prisons.

Mbeya City Coach Juma Mwambusi was picked as the best coach in front Yanga’s Assistant Coach Charles Boniface Mkwasa and former Taifa Stars captain and Mtibwa Sugar’s coach Mecky Mexime.

Yanga SC who are the dethroned champions was nominated the most disciplinary team for the second consecutive season, after winning the same award in the previous season ahead of Azam FC and relegated Oljoro JKT.
